first trip of the year

i took the boat out for a shakedown splashdown today.
my buddy chris and i went to one of my early season bass spots at about 6pm and fished for about a hour. chris landed one of the biggest white perch i ever seen on a fin-s type of jig and i was tossing top water plugs. chris allso had what looked like a much bigger fish swirl at his plug. the winds picked up and we split.....

took the boat out for a shakedown splashdown this evening. my buddy chris and i went to one of my favorate early season spots and were able to get a bass to swirl at our offering. and chris landed a nice white perch..both fish seemed to like the fin-s like jig chris was tossing. i was using topwater plugs............go gittm.....capt. gil

i will have this page working over the weekend and i will post some plans on what i expect to be chewing in the next month or so. the bunker have started to show up in moriches but the big bass have not shown up yet.
i hope to do a bit of weakfishing in the next few weeks. i did take t he boat out for a shakedown ride with my buddy chris and he got a nice white perch and allso had a small bass swing at his fin-s jig.
i will set out this weekend looking for my first bass of the season.
